A good weekend

Friday: I was picked up by a couple of friends after work and we drove to up Blidö in the archipelago. There we met up with another friend who was making the boat ready for our trip. We had a nice dinner and left in the late evening.
There was no wind so we had to use the motor most of the time to get to our firsat island.
We stayed up late playing games and eating snax.
Saturday: My birthday. We left our first island at about lunchtime after a nice breakfast and a swim (for some of us). We could acctually sail this time, allthough our wind seemed to have a slight identity crisis - "who am I, where am I coming from, where am I going?"
The sun seemed to know better - "I'm here, I'm warm and I'm not going anywhere!"
We had lupper on the boat. And when we got to our seconed island we grilled and enjoyed the view and the stillness.
My dear friends had planned a great birthday dinner for me and made nice cakes (yes, in plural). And even this night we played games, but we made sure to get to bed a bit earlyer than the night before (1am instead of 4am).
Sunday: We woke up early as we heard and felt the boat knocking and scraping against the rocks. The ancor had looseded... Not good. But the wind was stong and indeed more determened than the day before so we decided that we might as well leave then. The waves were more lively as well and some of us got a bit quezy as we were inside trying to secure all our stuff. This trip got quite adventures. One of us nearly fell overboard, another one banged his head so he started bleeding, and the "ropes" got stuck on the "weel-thing" twice, the rice boal and toolbox fell on the floor and spread contents all around and someone just had to pee from the deck right before we "landed" the boat, and ... well I'm sure something else happened though I can't remember it right now.
Finally back on land we had brunch, cake and our driver took a nap while the rest of us unpacked and scrubbed the deck.
Then we drove back to the city and to another friends birthday party. Games, pizza and a movie with many friends was the perfect ending for this fabulous weekend! :)
I'm thanful for my good friends and the fun times we have together!
